NdFeb Ring Magnets

NdFeB ring magnets are sometimes also known as discs with central holes. The NdFeB Rings Magnets exits in two styles – 'pure' rings and 'countersunk' rings. The holes are centrally located. The countersunk ring allows for the magnet to be screwed onto another item such that the screw is flush with the magnet end face.

Product Description

NdFeB ring magnets are sometimes also known as discs with central holes. The NdFeB Rings Magnets exits in two styles – 'pure' rings and 'countersunk' rings. The holes are centrally located. The countersunk ring allows for the magnet to be screwed onto another item such that the screw is flush with the magnet end face.
The countersink is only on one side of the ring magnet so the A version has the countersunk end as a North Pole and the B version has the countersunk end as a South Pole. If the countersunk ring is to clamp onto ferromagnetic material then either the A or B version can be used.
If two rings are to attract to each other such that the countersunk faces are attracted, one ring has to be an A version and the other a B version (unlike Poles attract).
Due to their shape, the ring magnets have a higher permeance coefficient than a same-sized disc magnet. This means they can resist demagnetization better, making them ideal for repulsive applications.
We can produce the ring magnets in different sizes, different grades (strengths and temperature ratings), different coatings/finishes and in axial and diametric magnetization as part of our custom magnet service.

FAQ

Q1: What are NdFeB Ring Magnets used for?
It is commonly used in motors, sensors, magnetic couplings, speakers, medical devices and automation equipment where strong magnetic force and compact design are required.

Can Ring Magnets be customized in size and magnetic performance?
Yes. Ring Magnets can be customized according to customer requirements, including outer diameter, inner diameter, thickness, magnetic grade, magnetization direction and surface coating.

What magnetic grades are available for Ring Magnets?
Common grades include N35, N38, N42, N45, N48, N50 and higher grades. The suitable grade depends on required magnetic strength, working temperature and application conditions.

How do you protect Ring Magnets from corrosion?
NdFeB Magnets are usually treated with protective coatings such as nickel (Ni), zinc (Zn), epoxy or other customized coatings to improve corrosion resistance in different operating environments.

What information should I provide when requesting a quotation for NdFeB Magnets?
For accurate quotation, customers should provide magnet dimensions, drawing specifications, magnetic grade requirements, magnetization direction, coating requirements, quantity and application conditions.
